01
Does Riviera manage assets?
No. Riviera MFO does not manage assets, provide investment advice, or act as a portfolio manager.
Asset management, investment recommendations and discretionary mandates remain with the family’s authorised banks, managers and advisors. Our role is to organise the environment around those relationships — not to substitute for them.
02
What does the office actually do?
We coordinate. Across the family’s institutions, advisors, jurisdictions and external professionals, we structure information, organise introductions, track open matters and maintain momentum.
The output is clarity, continuity and coherence across what is otherwise a fragmented architecture.
03
What is the MSFO model?
The Multi Single Family Office sits between the traditional multi-family office and the single-family office. Sovereign decision-making per family, shared infrastructure without shared control.
The promise: the sovereignty of a single-family office, with the infrastructure, technology and ecosystem of a multi-family office. Read the school of thought →
04
Will you replace our existing advisors?
No. Extension, not substitution. Existing lawyers, tax advisors, banks, managers and other specialists remain in place — their work becomes more coherent through better coordination.
05
How does an engagement begin?
Access happens through introduction. Initial conversations typically begin six to twelve months before any formal mandate is discussed.
The first stage is a single 90-minute meeting for mutual fit assessment, usually held at the Monaco offices or at a location chosen by the family. Read the four stages →
06
What is the fee model?
Active engagements run on an annual flat fee, set at the mandate stage. Fees are agreed in writing alongside the mandate’s scope, deliverables and review cadence.
No success fees. No retrocessions. No commissions. Riviera MFO is remunerated only by the family, for coordination and administrative work.
07
Where does the office operate?
The firm is based in Monaco and serves international families whose affairs span multiple jurisdictions. Cross-border matters are coordinated through qualified local professionals in the relevant country.
08
Do you arrange financing?
No. Riviera MFO does not arrange financing. When a family engages its own bank or licensed provider, we support the client side by preparing paperwork, holding the timeline, and keeping documents organised.
Riviera MFO is not a lender, not a credit broker, and not an underwriter. Credit analysis, product placement and regulated activity remain with the authorised institution.
09
How is confidentiality handled?
Discretion is the operating posture. Conversations, documents and introductions are handled on a need-to-know basis across the family’s authorised circle. Tooling is selected and configured for secure organisation, not for visibility.
10
How is technology used inside the firm?
Technology and AI tools are used strictly for organisational and analytical purposes — structuring documents, tracking counterparties, holding open matters and key deadlines.
These tools provide no investment, legal, tax or portfolio-management advice. They support the coordination work; they do not replace any qualified professional.
